Wearing a braces has a lot of appliances use to attach to your teeth to move them or to change the shape of your jaw. Knowing what they are can be of big help. The inner arc goes in the mouth and is connected to the buccal tubes. The inner bow is inserted into the buccal tubes, and the plastic strap is attached to both sides of the outer bow of the headgear. The outer arc goes around the face, and connects to a pad with springs and a plastic safety strap that goes around the neck, or to a higher pull headgear that goes on top of the head. Buccal Tube is a small metal tube that is welded to the outside of a molar band. It is a slot to hold arch wires-a metal wire that is attached to the brackets that move your teeth; lip bumpersthat is used to move the lower molars back to create space for other teeth. It consists of a metal arc that has plastic mold attached to the front. The wire is placed into the buccal tubes on the lower molars, while the plastic mold lies behind the lips. For everyone who desires shiny teeth, dental whitening products can help achieve that aesthetic effect. For those with chemical sensitivities, you will want to choose hypo-allergenic dental health products, including tooth whitening products.

You can start small and use dental whitening products such as whitening toothpaste, or you can utilize a full teeth whitening system for a more dramatic effect. Tooth whitening products like toothpaste are inexpensive, yet when used consistently in a personal dental health program can make a difference in improving the color of your teeth. Make sure that any whitening toothpaste you choose is gentle on your tooth enamel, and will not scratch the surface of your teeth while it cleans and lightens stains

For a more extensive effect, you might want to try teeth whitening gels. To use these dental health products, your dentist will create custom bleaching trays that fit over your teeth. Into these trays you spread teeth whitening gel, and then place them on your teeth. By using the trays, you are able to cover each tooth completely in the whitening gel, so the final result is very noticeable and attractive teeth.

Why use veneers?

In case of small chips and cracks in the teeth, bonding often serves as an inexpensive and effective restoration method. Minor troubles such as these may be functionally and cosmetically fixed with a composite “white filling. In order to fill in the chip or crack and better protect the surrounding tooth structure, a composite resin material is bonded to the tooth But for more serious cases of dullness, wear, discoloration, mild chipping, cracking, spacing, or uneven teeth, dental veneers may be advised as a more fitting solution.

You can consult your local dentist for more information about veneers.

Most bacterial infections that get through can result in fatal consequences that if not treated early. Blood clots from such infections can also travel through the blood stream to the heart or brain causing irreversible damage that can cause more health problems as time progresses. A blood clot forming as a result of the foreign body results in a heart attack or a stroke so do get to visit your dentist at least a few times a year.
