Dental Sealants
Sealants have begun to give teeth a second life preventing further decay on teeth that have just begun to get some erosion or cavities but are still too shallow to fully affect the soft tissue within the tooth’s structure. Sealants can be used to protect mildly decayed teeth giving them a clear coat that acts as a protective surface for the teeth for grind against. Otherwise, erosion would eat away more of the teeth resulting in cavities and destruction of the teeth. Tooth extractions have also been avoided with more emphasis on preserving the natural teeth turning to root canals and bridges to correct problems.
